The Dalton Housing Authority will receive sealed proposals until 4:45 on Monday, November 28th, 2016 for several services: All bidders will be required to provide a certificate of insurance to show they have liability insurance ($1 million limit), vehicle insurance, and worker’s compensation insurance, if required. Please mark the outside of the envelope with the name of the bid you are quoting (either –Roofing, Painting, or Apartment turns). No bids will be accepted after 4:45pm Monday, November 28th, 2016. 1.Roofing services for our properties. We are planning to roof at least 10 buildings during 2017 (approx. 300 squares). The bid will be for labor only; the Authority will supply the materials. We need a price per square to remove the old shingles, dispose of debris, install new roof felt, shingles, and ridge vent. Replacement of flashings and plumbing vents boots is also required. Please include a price per sheet, to replace rotten decking. Please mark the outside of the envelope – “Roofing Bid”. No bids will be accepted after 4:45pm Monday, November 28th, 2016. 1.Building exterior painting for our properties. We are planning to paint at least 25 building exteriors during 2017. The majority of our buildings are brick or vinyl sided, so the painting will include the gable ends, fascia, soffit, doors, window frames, and hand railing. The bid will be for labor only; the Authority will supply the paint and caulk for the project. We need a price per hour and crew size to evaluate your bids. The buildings will need to be pressure washed, scrapped, caulked, primed, & painted. Please mark the outside of the envelope – “Painting Bid”. No bids will be accepted after 4:45pm Monday, November 28th, 2016. 1.Apartment turn services at our properties. We turn anywhere from 75 to 150 units per year. Interested bidders will need to have a general knowledge of all construction services to apply for this job. This will require electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, painting, and installation of ceramic or vinyl tile and carpet. The bid will be for labor only; the Authority will supply all needed materials. Work will be performed on a per unit basis. We need a price per hour and crew size to evaluate your bids.
